Flowers for You

Posted by Picasa

I loved this flower. Not sure how to spell the name. I shot this on my day out on National Day. Free entry for a number of museums and I visited the Ford Factory at Upper Bukit Timah where the British surrendered to the Japanese and Reflections at Bukit Chandu at Pepys Road (Pasir Panjang). Not able to get good shots cos it was crowded. It was a great time to reflect on our independence day. The darkest days of Singapore history, these museums served as reminders for the soldiers who died defending Singapore.

This flower was taken at the renovated Ford Factory. Now a hip museum, it has a garden behind the museum and some old railway tracks are still there.

May Singapore continue to blossom as we united together to build the city for the next generation. And to all who died defending our homeland - no words can describe our gratitude.
