Had been busy this week cos we hosted a bunch of guys from India down to Australia for a regional meeting. Had been dining fine food these few nights. Straits Kitchen for local Chinese, Malaya and Indian hawker food at Grand Hyatt. Club Chinois of Tung Lok Group fame - fine Chinese food at Orchard Parade Hotel and Jaan, a French outfit at Equinox - Level 70 at Swissotel, The Stamford Singapore.
This is the view from Equinox - a staggering seventy floors. The highest I had been in a building in Singapore. Breathtaking. From up here, things below looked so tiny. A pretty foggy day. They said that on a clear day you can see Malaysia and Indonesia.
At Jaan, they served French food. A first for me again. Good food. For S$35 +++ you get to choose an appetiser, main course and a dessert. It is a steal.
By the way, before you call for reservation. That is for lunch only. Set dinner goes for S$120.
