Stupid Traffic Jam

"Ram, want to go to RSAF open house?". "No". There goes my kaki for the RSAF outing.

One week later ......

"Gilbert, are you going to RSAF open house?" asked Janice. "Can you bring Kim along?".

Wow, I found a partner to tag along.

Packed two digital SLRs, 18 - 70 mm zoom lens, 100 - 400 APO lens and 50 mm.

And goes Kim and Uncle Gilbert. 10:30 am, met at the lift lobby, last minutes instructions from Kim's mum. Got into the car and headed for PIE towards Jurong.

One hour later (still) in the jam, we sat in the car watching the fighters and apaches flew by. The air display was over and we finally got to the entrance of the air base. "Sorry Sir, carpark is full, please turn left and use the public carparks".

Ok, we drove along and every nook and corner were taken up. We gave up - one and half hour in the traffic jam. Don't they anticipate the crowds?

We decided to go to Elsie's kitchen. At least Kim will get to see something. Elsie is a darling. Gave a bowl of freshly brewed bean soup and a large ham and cheese sandwhich for Kim. All pictures are in Kim's cute digital camera.
