From InterContinental Hotel in Bali. Beautiful sunset. Been there in 2004 September. Bali is a nice place. The people are friendly and they speak good English. Service at InterContinental was superb.
Had the opportunity to visit the memorial at Kuta where the 2002 Bali Bombing occurred on 12 October 2002 in the town of Kuta, killing 202 people and injuring a further 209. It is considered the deadliest act of terrorism in Indonesian history. The majority of the dead were tourists, especially Australians but nearly one fifth were Indonesian nationals. It is hard to fathom how one can commit such an insensible act.
